The Walking Dead is a 55-episode post-apocalyptic terror drama TV series from America, which was premiered on the 31st of October 2010 on the AMC cable TV channel in the United States. The TV series was developed by a Hungarian-American screenwriter, film director and producer, Frank Darabont. The story of the television series is derived from the comic book sequence of the identical name, written by Robert Kirkman, a comic book author from America, Charlie Adlard and Tony Moore, the comic book performers from America.
The drama premiered globally on Fox International Channels in the opening week of November 2010. Derived from its response, AMC approved the TV series for a second season, containing 13 episodes that premiered on the 16th of October 2011. AMC broadcasted two episodes of the series into the second season that the show would come back for a third season, containing 16 episodes, which started airing on the 14th of October 2012.
Then again on the 21st December 2012, AMC developed the TV series for a 4th season, containing 16 episodes that premiered on the 13th of October 2013. Then, AMC renewed the 5th and 6th season of the Walking Dead series, which were premiered on 29th of October 2013 and 7th of October 2014 respectively.
The Walking Dead television series was well acknowledged, and it was nominated for several awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series and the Writers Guild of America Award for the best Drama category. The TV serial has received high Nielsen ratings, as well, surpassing different records for a cable TV series, including the 17.3 million viewership of its 5th season premiere, creating it the majority-watched drama series broadcast in the history of the basic cable.
Theme of the TV series
The Walking Dead enlightens the tale of an undersized group of survivors, existing during the after effects of a zombie disaster. The primary season of the serial occurs in the city area of Atlanta, and from the second season to the fourth season, the serial is taken in the nearby landscape of northern Georgia. Survivors look for a protected refuge away from the shuffling crowds of predatory biters or walkers, called as zombies that consume any living item they grab, and whose bite is swiftly poisonous to humans. The plot concentrates chiefly on the quandaries that the surviving group faces while they struggle to sustain their humankind during the everyday challenges of existing in a muddled world, alive with zombie hordes and aggressive human survivors.
Music and soundtrack
The score for the Walking Dead series was performed by Bear McCreary, a composer and musician from America. According to McCreary, the main subject was derived from his viewing of creative designs for the opening name sequence. In place of doing a complete theme song like with his previous works, McCreary decided to exercise a simple, recurring design from the string section.
The Walking Dead TV series has been released with four recordings till date. The Original Soundtrack of the Volume-1 of The Walking Dead TV series was released on the 17th of March 2013, the second volume on the 25th of March 2014, the third volume on the 27th of August 2013, and the fourth volume on the 26th of August 2014.
