The Big Bang Theory is a 167-episode, 8-season TV show from America, developed by Bill Prady, a television series producer and writer, and Chuck Lorre, an American TV director, writer, producer and musician. Both worked as executive producers on the TV show, together with Steven Molaro, an American TV serial writer and producer. With these three men as chief writers, the Big Bang Theory premiered on the 24th of September 2007 on the CBS channel, an American commercial air TV network. The last season of the TV show, the 8th season, premiered on the 2nd of September 2014.
Theme of the TV show
The Big Bang Theory TV show chiefly focuses on five characters existing in Pasadena in California. Among them, the fictional characters, Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter are physicists, Penny, an aspiring actress and waitress, who live across the lobby, and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali and Howard Wolowitz, the equally socially and geeky co-workers and awkward friends of Sheldon and Leonard. The intelligence and geekiness of the four men is contrasted for a comedian effect with the common sense and social skills of Penny.
Changes in characters

The CBS channel renewed the Big Bang Theory TV show again in March 2014 for three supplementary years, including the earlier confirmed 8th season from the 2016 to 2017 TV season. Then, the CBS channel announced at its yearly upfront presentation on May 2014 that the TV series would commence its 8th season on Mondays, earlier than returning to the Thursday window it has aired since 2010, as soon as the football games came to an end during the late October. All the five original cast affiliates of the Big Bang Theory TV show signed new agreements in August 2014.
Response to the TV show

In the United States, the Big Bang Theory TV show has been rated highly since its premiere.
