The Puffer Fish does well in tropical waters and does not like to operate in the cold regions of the world.
You might be wondering how this Fish got its name – Puffer. Well, there is only one reason that applies to the idea behind this name. The Puffer Fish can blow itself up with the use of air or water. This is a defense mechanism that it uses to make it difficult for its predator to swallow it. Usually, when it puffs up; it looks like a ball and could have a funny movement. There has been a case where this fish puffs up and ends up damaging its body. There have been reported cases of death as a result of this mannerism.

It feeds on plants and small fish. We can say that this fish has the advantage of hurting its predators but cannot be easily hurt. The Puffer Fish can lay about 3 to 7 eggs at the shore and this is done with the support of the Male Puffer Fish. The eggs are light and can float in different directions. However, there is the hardy nature of its shell that helps to protect its eggs. The Puffer Fish also has a unique development cycle. The limbs of the fish, its tail, and fin begin to emerge after a week. When this fish reaches maturity, it can join other fish in the reef.
