Even though the Pastel Pygmy Angelfish variety is not as flashy as some of the other dwarf angel fish varieties, it appears something similar to a modern painting. With the wealthy color accents, the Pastel Pygmy Angelfish variety makes a striking aquarium sample for both novices and professional aquarists alike.

The Pastel Pygmy Angelfish is most similar in look to the Nahacky’s Angelfish Centropyge nahackyi, such that both fish varieties have the black and purple striped region on top of their eyes and on some of their fins. However, the Nahacky fish differs in being dark on its upper part of the body devoid of any of the white color.
The Pastel Pygmy Angelfish varieties have been found to have diverse social structures that happen at each of the diverse habitats in which they survive. In some regions the Pastel Pygmy Angelfish live individually, whereas in other areas they live in petite harems of one male fish with just some female ones. However, there are other regions where the Pastel Pygmy Angelfish exist in small groups, having one male fish with many female ones and quite a lot of juveniles, too.
