When observed from a distance its head appears like a small heap with a firm stick. Do not make the mistaken them to the shark sword as they might appear similar especially the protrusion. Physical Description of Narwhal Whales
I have definitely talked more on the important and most unique physical description of this specie of whale. Generally, just like its cousin the Begula Whale, Narwhal Whale has a medium-sized body that is round in shape.

Narwhal Whale are darkish when they are born and they lighten up with time. The older male is somehow purely white, you can easily tell an old male individual from the group by its skin tone.
The Narwhal Whales are also without the dorsal fin, which seemingly helps them adapt to swimming in extremely icy waters.
Narwhal Whales Behavior
Generally, the Narwhal Whales are known to be quite slow swimmers, but they can be extremely quick faced with danger from its predators. The Narwhal Whale spends most of their time near the ocean surface; they are also among the deepest-diving mammals with the ability to dive to depths of about 5000 feet (1525 meters). During the summer you will notice narwhal close to the shore, while at the winter the move out to the sea staying under thick layer of ice.
Narwhal Whale prefer to migrate in pods of at least ten individuals and even as many as 100.
Just like the other species of whales, Narwhal Whale are quite vocal. They whistle, squeal, and even click either as a means of communication or to aide in their navigation. They also use a sound reflection technique to locate their pray. Narwhal Whales can also produce trumpet and squeaking door sounds.
Narwhal Whale are quite aggressive at times and they attack with their task which is very lethal as it can strike once with a killer blow. They also use their tasks to break ice as they navigate in the waters.
Narwhal Whale Diet
Through intensive research and keen study, it has been discovered that Narwhal Whale primarily feeds on Greenland halibut. They will also feed on Arctic and polar cod, Gonatus squid, cuttlefish and shrimps.
The Narwhal Whale can swim towards the prey and when it is close it sucks it up its mouth, making it easier to feed without having to catch the prey.
