Jeep Renegade
Category: Jeep
The Jeep Renegade is a mini sport utility vehicle or a subcompact crossover sport utility vehicle from the Jeep automobile division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The Jeep Renegade was constructed in Melfi in Italy alongside the associated Fiat 500X, with which the Jeep Renegade shares its platform that is derived from the Small Common Components and Systems platform. The Jeep Renegade was first displayed to the public at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and the production of the vehicle was commenced during late August 2014. It is the first Jeep to be built outside North America and will sell in European, South African, Brazilian, and North American markets.
The Jeep Renegade comes in two all-wheel drive systems, such as Active Drive Low and Active Drive I. These two systems are coupled with the Selec-Terrain System of the jeep. It also comes with an accessible My Sky double panel detachable roof. This roof can be either retracted similar to a normal sunroof or eliminated totally for an additional open-air experience, like that of the Jeep Wrangler.
Once it was supposed that the Jeep Renegade would restore the Patriot and Compass in the Jeep array, but the Renegade has since been evidently recognized by Jeep as being in a smaller category than the MK twins.
Models of Jeep Renegade
The Jeep Renegade comes in four models, such as Standard, Sport, Limited and Latitude. Standard models of the Jeep Renegade come with the front-wheel-drive mode, whereas other three models come with the four-wheel drive mode.
TrailHawk models of the Jeep Renegade are Trail Rated and they come with the Active Drive Low all-wheel drive system of the jeep and a 0.79 inches (2 cm) lift kit. These models also feature 17-inch (43 cm) aluminum wheels, slip plates, and unique front and back fascias when compared to the standard models of the Jeep Renegade. Similar to Trailhawk, the Renegade Trailhawk will come with red color front and back tow fasteners, a red color 'Trail Rated 4X4’ emblem on both upper fenders at the front, a black color vinyl label in the middle of the cover, and with black-painted alloy wheels. The Trailhawk trim highlights the off-road capabilities of Renegade, and is destined for the keen off-roader.
The Selec-terrain grip control feature of the jeep allows the driver to choose any of the driving modes, such as snow, auto, sand, rock or mud in the 4X4 TrailHawk model.
