Hyundai Veloster came into existence in 2007 when it was introduced as a concept car. Later a final version was introduced in 2011 at the Detroit Auto show. The Hyundai Veloster was produced by Hyundai where selling began in South Korea and North America in the same year. The Hyundai Veloster was produced specifically to fill the gap that was left when the production of Hyundai Tiburon was stopped.
The target is for the young generation who enjoy having a sport car with style and simple features.
What are the features?
· Unlike other vehicles, Hyundai Veloster has three doors. One is the driver door which is large and the other two are passenger doors which are smaller. This makes it accessible and easy.
· Some of the Hyundai Velosters especially the ones sold in North America are installed with the BlueLink which is similar to the OnStar from the General Motor vehicles. It is used to prepare customers with automatic crash notification and vehicle diagnostics.
The Hyundai Veloster is installed with SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
The Hyundai Veloster has beefy 17 inch alloy wheels.
The Hyundai Veloster has a black rear spoiler and a dual centered chrome tipped exhaust.
The Hyundai Veloster is spacious enough making it one of the comfortable sporty compact cars of all times. The interior is beautiful and the feeling is worthwhile.
From the production time the Hyundai Veloster has undergone one generation which has seen different concepts coming up over the years.
First generation
In this generation, the Hyundai Veloster uses direct injected 1.6 four cylinder engine with 103 KW and 167 N.M. The Hyundai Veloster has a six speed manual gearbox with a dual clutch transmission which was produced in Hyundai being offered as an option. The Hyundai Velosters with 18 inch wheels were added Michelin Pilot Super Sport 215/40ZR18 in 2012.
Veloster Turbo
In 2012, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo was revealed in North America at the International show. This is a kammback coupe sport compact car which is turbocharged and its performance is high. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo uses 1.6 L T-GDI Gamma engines which has a different output specifically created to target different markets.
For North Americans the Hyundai Veloster Turbo has higher engine of 150Kw and 265 N.m of torque whereas in the European the engine has lower power with the same N.m of torque. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo is available in six speed automatic or six speed manual transmissions.
Veloster C Roll
This is a version of Veloster 1.6 GDI. The Hyundai Veloster C Roll was designed by Hyundai Design in North America which has several interesting features. They include; a fixed gear bike, convertible top rails, canvas roof that opens at the rear, license plate pocket, sculpted side skirts, among others.
Veloster RE:MIX
Another version of Hyundai Veloster that is inspired by Hyundai RE: MIX Lab program and unveiled in SEMA Show. The Hyundai Veloster RE:Mix has a gunmetal finish alloys, body kit and premium audio system.
Veloster RE:Flex
This is another version of Hyundai Veloster of 2014 with 3000 units and 1.6 Gamma GDi. The Hyundai Veloster RE:Flex was unveiled in the Chicago Auto Show. The seats are leather and available either in black or red, LED taillights, chrome hood accents, RE: FLEX badging on the floor mats, and in the exterior, among other features.
