The Dodge Ram Pickup Truck is an American-based product of light to medium-weight pickup automobiles, established during 2010 as a Chrysler Group LLC’s automotive division. This is a completely owned auxiliary of Fiat S.p.A.., the global automaker of Italy, which was previously called the Dodge Truck Division.
History of Dodge Ram Pickup Truck
First, the name Ram was employed during 1981 on the restyled Ram and Power Ram after the retiring of the Dodge D Series pickup automobiles, including B-series vans. The motor vehicle is named for the Ram cover ornament that first emerged on Dodge vehicles during 1933. The Ram motor vehicle is in its 4th generation from the 2009 model year.
Ram Trucks were established as a Chrysler’s division during 2010, as a by-product from Dodge, using the name of the admired Dodge Ram row of pickups that is currently being sold under the Ram symbol. The aim was to boost truck sales from current 280,000 to 415,000 trucks by 2014.
Managers at Chrysler have affirmed their aim to vie the semi-trailer truck class with Ram, a likelihood that is helped by the ownership of Iveco of Fiat and an already accessible network of Dodge sellers. Although the Ram trucks are sold separately from Dodge vehicles, Ram trucks are always and eternally considered as Dodges. It was declared that the new chief of the Ram truck make would be longtime Chrysler worker Robert Hegbloom, who joined Chrysler during 1986 and he had been a director of the Ram truck product.
