Facts about Cotton de Tulear Dogs, "Scientific name for Cotton de Tulear Dog, or domestic canine, is Canis lupus familiaris". Coton de Tulear Dog is a very beautiful dog. It is a breed of small dogs which is named after a city in Madagascar known as Tulear. It is believed that it is a result of Tenerife dog which was brought to Madagascar by pirates then mated with a dog of the island.
The Coton de Tulear Dog breed has very soft hair, a black nose, short legs and large eyes. The tail curls over its back just like other dog breeds.
The coat of this beautiful Coton de Tulear Dog is fluffy, long, and cotton like. It is normally considered to be hair rather than fur. The hair has very little dander and the Coton de Tulear Dog breed does not shed at all. It only sheds when it is a puppy.
