Features

The Camargue horse is a small animal with a standing height that ranges from 54 inches to 60 inches (135 cm to 150 cm) when measured from their shoulders, with a body weight between 770 pounds and 1,100 pounds (350 kg and 500 kg). In spite of their small body size, they have the power to carry mature adults and heavy loads for a long distance. The Camargu Horses are considered rough and clever, and they have a deep chest, short neck, solid body, well-jointed, powerful limbs and a tail and a full mane.

The adult Camargue horse has a gray color body, which means that they boast black color skin, underlying a white color hair coat. When the Camargu Horses are born, they appear with a black or dark tan color hair coat. However, as they grow to maturity, their hair coat will turn out to be more combined with white color hairs until it is totally white.

The head of the Camargue horse is similar to that of other horse breeds in its group. The animal is habitually heavy, square and communicative, with vivid, wide-set eyes, a straight outline, even forehead and well-developed cheek bones.
